Essential oils are used in 4 basic ways.
- Diffused – used as aromatherapy. Diffusers can be used to distribute the aroma from the oil into the air.
- Inhaled directly – essential oils can be put in the palm of your hand or on a cotton ball and inhaled providing a powerful healing to your body. You can even inhale the aroma directly from the bottle.
- Topically – many essential oils can be put directly on the skin. It is best to do a sensitivity test when first using oils to determine skin sensitivity. Some essential oils need to be diluted with olive oil or Young Livings V-6 oil. Some oils, especially citrus oils can cause sun sensitivity.
- Dietary – recipes can be spiced up and made healthier by adding a drop of essential oils to your favorite dishes.
